Kids Club #8 - Dream Catcher
Do you sometimes dream stupid dreams at night? Our self-made dream catcher is supposed to improve sleep. It is assumed that the good dreams go through the net, the bad ones get stuck in the net and would later be neutralized by the morning sun.
What kind of material you need:
- white paper plate
- Acrylic, finger or water colours
- Brush
- Water vessel
- adhesive tape
- slightly thicker cord (e.B. packing cord)
- Wooden or plastic beads
- Feather
- Scissors
Guide
- Cut out the inner part of the paper plate (alternatively you can use a cutter knife, but only for older children).
- Glue the cord (approx. 80-100 cm) in the star pattern (see picture) on to the back of the paper plate. Leave a piece of string for the suspension at the beginning.
- Paint the paper plate and let it dry.
- Tie two feathers together on a short cord (approx. 10-15 cm).
- After that, you can either tie thread around the feathers and make another knot or straighten a thicker wooden bead.
- Make a knot at the end of the threaded beads.
- Make a total of three cords with feathers and pearls.
- Finally, you can thread pearls at the top of the suspension.
- Your dream catcher is ready! Sweet dreams…
